The Story of Kids Entertainment

When I was 16 and had plenty of time on my hands, I decided to establish a little play and theatre group  for children. I told my mom that I really wanted to become a teacher for actors and she suggested I should just do what I wanted. 

That evening I created a flyer for my new play and theatre group. It had children’s favorite characters on it and it invited all children whom into theatre, acting and fun to meet me, friday afternoon, at our house. 

About 5 or 6 kids showed up that friday. We did some warm up exercises with music, played games and talked about theatre plays. Mom made lemonade for everyone and the kids hung out with me and we all just had a good laugh. 

The next friday 2 more kids joined the play group. For everyone, other then a theatre play group it was really just pure children’s entertainment. They really enjoyed their time playing games, dressing up and just having some good fun. 

The play group got more kids joining it and we finally had 12 little training actors. We started to work on a play, with real script. The children were very dedicated to it and never missed out a day.

We worked on our little play for 5 good months. It was fun.

Dad helped to build a wooden stage in our back yard. He even installed lighting around it. It was very exciting. We were ready.

Families and friends gathered together in our back yard on a friday evening. The play was on. It went really well. Everybody enjoyed.

Over that time parents attention was drawn to my theatre play group and to what I do. They started inviting me to entertain their children in birthday parties and events.

Since I really liked doing children’s entertainment I started doing a lot of birthday parties as well. Every time I came up with a new character.. Spiderman, Batman, Pirate Jack.. (Pirate Jack is one of the best characters ever). I developed a formula that’s working best for kids birthdays-It is a combination of games, activities and magic that’s suitable for all and the kids just loving it.

I kept teaching at my play theatre group and also kept developing myself as a great children’s entertainer. The skills I have gained as a performer have become a great benefit since I could do kids entertainment anywhere I went.

And so I have. I did shows for kids in London for several years and keep doing it in Australia while I study art.

Now Im in Sydney and I absolutely love it here. The experience doing children’s entertainment in Sydney is so amazing to me. I get to travel around and meet wonderful people. My children’s parties in Sydney are my quality time when I just put on a character and start to have fun.

I do really enjoy what I do. Sometimes I think I enjoy just like a kid myself. It is a great feeling.

I believe good kids party is a combination of many different things. It has to have a flare to it. a spark. and to understand children.
