A birthday party at the park and the great lizard race

Friends and family gathered together under the big fig tree in the park. It was an amazing sunny sunday, a perfect day for a party.. Ben’s 5th birthday party in Sydney. Ben lives in Bellevue Hill. He likes superhero movies, camping and his special friend pet Lola – a little iguana he takes care of.     

Ben invited 20 friends to his kids party in Sydney and asked everybody to dress up as superheros. There are two  reasons why Ben wanted everyone to show up as superheros. The first reason is because, well it’s pretty obvious, he likes superheros so much.. The second reason is because Ben also invited a very cool and special guest to his party.. he invited spiderman! a real superhero straight from the movie!!

Everybody was so excited to meet Spidy. He showed them how to move like a spider, crawl and jump.. and even spin webs!  Later on he played a game with everyone and gave real cool prizes to each and every kid. He also did few magic tricks and danced around in a spider’s style to some real funny music. 

Spidy wanted to know what kind of animals did everyone like. Shane said he liked horses best, Naomi said puppy dogs.. and Ben, the birthday boy, told about his pet Lola the iguana.

Then Spidy decided to surprise Ben and showed something that really amazed him and everyone else. He took a simple green balloon and with some very quick but complicated moves, in seconds, turned it into a green little lizard – just like Lola.  Ben was so happy because Spidy said he could keep the balloon lizard.. Then, everybody else wanted one too, and so Spidy made them lots of lizards of all different sizes and colors. 

After this, it was time. Time for the great lizard race!!       The great lizard race is a real cool game when the kids are being divided into two groups of even numbers. then a location is being chosen, which can be a nearby tree, or a random spot on the ground just a dozen yards away. When the signal’s given, kids from each group, one at a time.. run their lizards across the field and put it under the tree or the chosen spot, then go back and the next kid runs a lizard.. and so on and so forth. The first group to place all their lizards on the other side of the field is the winning group!!

Ben’s Spiderman party in Sydney was real good fun. Spiderman was so happy to be able to create the great lizard race game just for Ben.

The children were happy too. they took photos with Spidy and then cut the cake and sang Ben birthday songs.

Ben’s Kids Party in Sydney was a great one, thanks to all the amazing little superhero friends and their colorful lizards!! =]
